Hi, I'm Sandy The Smart Saver and I want to tell you employers a
little bit
about my new Saving For Retirement program. But, first let me tell you a
little bit about me.
I'm
real. I'm not just another pretty face. I'm smart. I have my own
personality. I'm cool. I have a sense of humor...some might say I'm a bit
squirrely. I have a bite to me...in more ways than one.
I read the papers (Wall Street Journal, the
New York Times, Barron's) you
know, the standard stuff that the Wall Street guys read on the subway). I
love Maria on CNBC. I always look forward to talking with the guys on "The Street."
I'd really like to have my own chat room. As you can see, I'm not your
average squirrel. And, from what I see and hear, there's a real-desperate
need for solid, easy-to-understand information- education on saving for
retirement.
How do
I know that? Just about every Retirement Confidence Survey shows that
most humans need help. Example: only one-third of Americans have even
tried to calculate how many acorns ("how much money" for humans) they will
need for retirement.
I also
know that your folks don't want just the "same old, same old" stuff. And
that's where I shine. I deliver my material with a sense of humor and
bite to it. We take a light-hearted approach and make the whole saving
for retirement program a "fun" event.
And I
can deliver all sorts of neat stuff....posters, flyers, tent-cards for the
cafeteria, letters - post cards payroll envelope stuffers, newsletters,
e-mail (yes, I use a computer)...you name it. And we can dream up all
kinds of promotional stuff like my cool Sandy The Smart Saver T-shirts,
coffee mugs, crying towels (for people who didn't sign up for their
401(k)), etc, etc. We can also customize our stuff with your logo. Of
course, I get first billing.
As you
can see, I'm a little nuts about saving for retirement. Why? Because I
am like so many of your plan participants. I know I'm responsible for
developing and implementing my own retirement plan. I'm the CEO in charge
of my retirement. And, that's the way I like it because I'm in control.
